Absorbent Technologies, Inc. (ATI) is the parent company of the Reon™ brand and the world leader in the development and manufacture of starch-based superabsorbent technologies.
After the successful launch of its Zeba® brand polymers for agriculture in 2003 (www.zeba.com) , ATI began its expansion into industrial and commercial markets by designing and formulating its Reon starch-based industrial superabsorbents. Today, Reon represents the culmination of over 14 years of research by the polymer scientists at ATI to produce a superabsorbent tough enough to handle the exhaustive moisture and fluid management requirements of industrial applications and provide a biodegradable, sustainable alternative to synthetic polymers.
With six patents awarded and nine more pending, ATI continues to develop its array of broad-based patents, surpassing all other companies with its depth of intellectual property on starch-based superabsorbents and applications. ATI has begun large-scale commercial manufacturing of Reon at its company-owned facilities in Albany, Oregon, and has licensed its technology on a royalty basis for manufacture in other world markets.
