Reon™ is typically formulated using dissociated potassium side-chains. However, custom orders can be delivered with sodium ionic functional side-chains, which are often necessary in specialized applications such as hygiene, medicine or cosmetics.

When hydrated, Reon forms a soft, low-swell gel. It can continue to absorb and release fluids, over and over again, in response to re-hydration and changes in pressure and will typically retain fluid under moderate pressures.

Normal absorbency ranges from 500-800g/g distilled water, subject to granule size. In a 0.9% NaCl solution Reon retains a 60-80g/g absorbency.
